CrashPlan is an innovative utility that allows you to back up your computer to another computer or to an external drive, either manually or on a schedule. Code42 CrashPlan is the recommended, free cloud backup solution for desktops and laptops at MIT. Code42 CrashPlan sends an encrypted copy of your data to Code42 software servers via the CrashPlan server and Internet2 connection in the IS&T Data Center. TSM is the recommended service for backing up servers.

    • $HOME/.crashplan/.ui_info on Linux
  4. Edit the file to look like this: 4243,drobo. You can preserve the original .ui_info file somewhere else, and restore it once you are done accessing CrashPlan on the Drobo.
